1. Grammar Review

a. Review, discuss, correct notes.
b. Turn in your completed homework assignment on the Eight Parts of Speech Notes to the following form:

2. Today's Reading: Of Mice and Men pgs. 1-30 

a. Read the pages for today.

b. Create a new google document and name it according to the following example:

     A2_AndersonJ_OfMiceandMenReadingLog

c. Enter each day's reading log according to the following example:

             
     Of Mice and Men pgs. 1-30 --  August 22, 2013

d. Write a summary of today's reading.

e. Below the summary, write a response of your thoughts and feelings about the reading.

3. Vocabulary: ACT Vocabulary List     

a. Your vocabulary list for this year is linked on Mr. Christensen's website. You are responsible to start studying and using the first 40 words from this list. The link is given below:

b. Open up a new google document and name it according to the following example:

                  A2_AndersonJ_VocabularySentences

 
c. Write a sentence for the first ten words listed on the vocabulary list. You need to make sure the words are used correctly. You may look up the words on the internet and find sentences that use these words. Then, you will need to write your own sentences using these words.

 
d. There is also a set of flash cards and study games to help you memorize this list. Use them to study and memorize these words.

e. There will be a quiz on the first ten words from the list at the beginning of next class.

b. Write sentences from Vocabulary 1-10
